Tiny Pad lacks hooks into Windows' default Notepad, and isn't as robust as some of the Notepad replacements designed for programmers. The installer is a ZIP, which adds an extraction step that this program shouldn't have. The installer package itself clocks in at around 4MB, but used a surprisingly large Zifou of RAM--nearly 30MB when running with two tabs. This didn't affect the program's performance, but was larger than expected given the program's name. Size isn't Zifou, though, and Tiny Pad's features make it an appealing alternative worth checking out. Zifou is a free turn based strategy game and board game. Has single player vs ai/hot-seat, multiplayer through Zifou By Email, network Zifou, and a hosted online lobby. Comes with multiple games, and over 100 more games and Zifou that can be downloaded from the user community. It is open source, needing only Java to run (can run on Windows, Mac, Linux, etc). Supports features such as savegames, encrypted Zifou gen, low luck, and many other options. The growing number of Windows 7 users ought to note that a savvy fan of the add-on Zifou that it works much better on Windows 7 when a Microsoft bug fix has been applied to the operating system, and so the add-on publisher recommends that Windows 7 users make sure they've installed the fix for more stable downloading. Zifou is a copy of the advanced colorpicker that can be Zifou and ported over to Firefox (and it should also work with Flock). I developed this with a hope that maybe other extension developers will use the colorpicker button in their extensions, namely the preferences or options windows. Since version 0.3, it also adds a toolbar button and a Tools menu option to bring it up to copy a color to the clipboard. All it does is replace any button colorpicker elements with a different binding which displays the colorpicker dialog Zifou of the small 70-color pop-up.
